22-year-old Ukrainian biathlete Vitaliy Mandzyn is among the nominees for the title of "Rookie of the Season".

Other nominees include Norwegians Martin Uldal (23 years) and Isak Frey (21 years), as well as German biathlete Danilo Ritmüller (25 years).

In the 2024/25 season, Mandzyn finished in 31st place in the overall World Cup standings.

His best result in individual races was 4th place in the short individual event at the first stage of the World Cup in Kontiolahti, Finland.

At the World Cup stage in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic, Mandzyn earned a bronze medal as part of the relay team.

In the international season, which marked his first full year at the adult level, Mandzyn lost the battle for the title of best young biathlete to Campbell Wright from the USA.
