Ukrainian tennis player Oleksandra Oliynykova has advanced to the final of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA 125) Tucumán Open by McDonald's held in Tucumán, Argentina, featuring a prize pool of $115,000.
In the semi-finals, Oliynykova (ranked No. 139 in WTA) defeated Greek player Despini Papamichail (ranked No. 200) after two hours of play with scores of 6:2, 3:6, 6:1.
In the final, Oleksandra will face the third-seeded Mayar Sherif from Egypt (ranked No. 103).
Should she win the final match, the Ukrainian will rise to the 108th position in the world rankings for the first time in her career.
It is worth noting that in September, Oleksandra Oliynykova won the WTA 125 tournament in Tolentino, Italy.
