Countdown to the Olympics: Ukraine Prepares for Competition

The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine kicks off the 100-day countdown to the XXV Winter Olympic Games with the unveiling of the national team's new uniform.

On October 29, the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine held a ceremonial event at the «Gulliver» shopping mall to mark the 100-day countdown to the XXV Winter Olympic Games «Milan-Cortina 2026». The highlight of the day was the exclusive presentation of the new official Olympic uniform of the Ukrainian national team.

In attendance were the President of the NOC of Ukraine, Olympic champion Vadym Hutsait, and the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Matviy Bidny.

«This event reaffirms our main goal – to provide comprehensive support and ensure our athletes have everything they need. We all work for the benefit of the Olympic movement in Ukraine,» said Vadym Hutsait.

Matviy Bidny emphasized that this day holds special significance for Ukrainian athletes: «Today is a symbolic date – the countdown to the Olympic Games begins. This is typically the stage when the main battle for licenses begins. We present the uniform of the national team of Ukraine – this is also a very important event. This is how the world community, fans, and other athletes will see us at the Olympic Games.»

Also present at the festive countdown were legends of Ukrainian sports and future participants of the Winter Games.

Olympic champions and medalists: Oleksandr Abrahenko, Olha Polyuk (all – freestyle), Vita Semerenko, Olena Pidhroshna, Olena Petrova, Valentina Tserbe, Nina Lemesh, Serhiy Sedniev, Vyacheslav Derkach (all – biathlon), Mykhailo Kokhan (athletics), Marta Fedina (synchronized swimming).

Current athletes and candidates for participation in the 2026 Olympics: Khrystyna Dmytrenko, Olena Horodna, Liliia Steblyna, Valeriia Dmytrenko (all – biathlon), Taras Filiak (alpine skiing), Kateryna Kotsar, Orest Kovalenko (both – freestyle), Dmytro Mazurchuk, Oleksandr Shumbariets (both – Nordic combined), Anastasia Nikon (cross-country skiing).

The official Olympic uniform for the 2026 Games was produced by the company 4F, the official sponsor of the NOC of Ukraine. The new collection embodies modern Ukrainian identity. It was showcased by Khrystyna Dmytrenko, Taras Filiak, Olena Pidhroshna, Oleksandr Abrahenko, Marta Fedina, Mykhailo Kokhan. The musical accompaniment was provided by Vlad Darvin, who performed a song about Ukraine, adding special emotions to the presentation.

During the event, a telebridge was held with members of the national team of Ukraine, who are currently actively preparing for the Games. They shared insights about their training, camps, and sent greetings to the fans.

The final moment of the event was the ceremonial handing over of the Ukrainian flag, which our team will take to Milan. Guests also participated in raffles for gifts from the NOC of Ukraine and the brand 4F, interacted with Olympians, and received autographs.
