Victor Leskovets has claimed the gold medal at the European championship in bench press, while the Ukrainian team has triumphed in the overall standings.
This competition took place from September 22 to 28 in the picturesque city of Valletta, Malta. Leskovets, a resident of Kyiv, achieved the champion title by lifting 335 kg in his weight category.
This impressive result also earned him third place in the absolute standings.
The Ukrainian team once again proved its strength by securing the first position in the team ranking.
It is worth noting that in May 2024, Leskovets set a new world record with a lift of 325.5 kg.
