The Ukrainian national para swimming team showcased extraordinary success at the world championship held in Singapore, winning the highest number of medals among all participating countries — 49 (16 gold, 16 silver, 17 bronze). However, in terms of gold medals, the Ukrainians finished fourth, trailing behind Italy (18 gold, 17 silver, 11 bronze), the USA (18 gold, 6 silver, 11 bronze), and China (17 gold, 9 silver, 7 bronze).

Andriy Trusov became a four-time world champion, winning all of his races and setting two world records: 100 m freestyle, class S7 — 59.90 sec. and 50 m freestyle, class S7 — 26.72 sec. Overall, Ukrainian athletes established four world records and three European records in Singapore.
