On Saturday, September 27, the Ukrainian youth team achieved a victory against South Korea in the first match of the 2025 U-20 World Cup.
The "Blue and Yellows" established a comfortable lead early in the first half. In the 13th minute, Synchuk opened the scoring with a precise shot into the far corner from outside the penalty area, and shortly after, Pyschur doubled the advantage.
At the beginning of the second half, the opponents managed to reduce the deficit, but the Ukrainian side called for a review of the episode. After reviewing the replay, the referee ruled out the Korean goal for offside.
However, Korea managed to score. This occurred in the 80th minute following a corner kick. Nevertheless, Ukraine held on to their winning score.
