Recently, records in weightlifting have become a domain not only for adults but also for children, who amaze everyone with their accomplishments. Young athletes are increasingly appearing in the National Record Registry.

12-year-old Andriy Birtsiv set a record by performing the most two-handed snatches with 8 kg kettlebells in 60 seconds — 41 times. His achievement was recognized for its technical correctness, thanks to the guidance of his coach Anton Bilodid.

“The strength records we register must be executed with absolute technical precision,” emphasized Lana Vietrova, the head of the National Record Registry.

Born in Donetsk, Andriy moved to Dnipro with his family in 2017. He began his sports journey at the age of three with acrobatics and gymnastics. Currently, he trains in judo at the Taifu club and practices crossfit at the Street Feet club.

Despite his busy sports schedule, Andriy excels in school, finishing all six grades with honors.

He plans to set a new record soon, with the support of his coaches and friends behind him.
