In the opening round of the competition:

• Ayder Abdurayimov in the 60 kg weight class defeated Aider Owen Harris-Allen from Wales by a split decision — 3:2;
• Matviy Razhba (80 kg) knocked out Ben Egis from Germany in the second round.
