The municipal institution «Specialized Installation and Operation Unit» has summarized the work completed this summer along the city’s coast.

Thanks to the establishment of a two-way bicycle lane connecting the 11th and 16th stations of the Great Fountain, cyclists can now safely travel from the city center to the beach.

«The bike path has become a crucial part of the urban infrastructure. We notice a growing interest in cycling, and at the mayor's directive, we plan to expand bicycle routes throughout the city,» said Odesa's deputy mayor, Pavlo Vugelman.

The president of the «Arcadia» cycling club also highlighted the positive changes.

«This bike path is the best in the city. Since its opening, I’ve seen a significant increase in the number of cyclists. People are actively responding to the new markings. It’s gratifying to witness the development of cycling sports in Odesa,» remarked Viktoriya Bondarenko.

The city plans to continue enhancing its cycling infrastructure, including linking residential areas through new bicycle routes.
