The World Summer Universiade in Germany has come to a close, highlighted by a vibrant closing ceremony.

On the final day of competition, the Ukrainian team secured another medal — a bronze won by Mykola Rushchak in the 20 km race walk.
Ukraine finished in 14th place in the overall medal standings, achieving a total of 12 medals: 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze.
Mykola Rushchak shared his feelings: “This medal is my first international award. I was just two seconds away from second place.”
Victoria Baranivska, who competed in the triple jump final, remarked: “The atmosphere here is incredible, the arena and the organization are top-notch. Each day, I find myself loving these competitions more and more.”
Danilo Binder celebrated his international debut in rowing at the Universiade: “This was my first race on the international stage, and we will aim to prepare better for the next one.”
Over two weeks, student-athletes from 55 countries competed for the 2025 Universiade medals. The top three countries were Japan, China, and the USA.
