The draw for the main draw of this year’s third Grand Slam tournament – Wimbledon – has taken place. The first opponents have been set for Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, Daryna Yastremska, and Yuliia Starodubtseva.

Elina Svitolina (14) received the 14th seed and will face Anna Bondar (75, Hungary) in the first round. Their last encounter was a month ago at Roland Garros, where the Ukrainian won in two tight sets.

Marta Kostyuk (26) is seeded 26th and will start her campaign against qualifier Veronika Erjavec (171, Slovenia). This will be their first matchup at the professional level.

Unfortunately, Daryna Yastremska (41) has drawn a tough opponent. Her first match will be against world number two Coco Gauff from the USA. Gauff has won all three previous meetings between them, including in Madrid earlier this year.

Yuliia Starodubtseva (67) will compete against wildcard holder Francesca Jones (125, Great Britain). The two players have never faced each other before.

The main draw of Wimbledon is set to begin on Monday, June 30.
