After the conclusion of the 2024/2025 season in the Ukrainian Premier League, the head coach of Kyiv's «Obolon», Serhiy Shishchenko, has decided to join the Chernovtsy team «Bukovina».
The club announced that the contract with Shishchenko was terminated by mutual consent. He took over «Obolon» in September 2024 when the team was at the bottom of the league table. Under his leadership, «Obolon» finished the season in eleventh place, avoiding relegation to the First League.
During his tenure, «Obolon» played 25 matches, recording 8 wins, 7 draws, and 10 losses.
Now, Shishchenko will continue his career at «Bukovina», while his assistant Oleksandr Antonenko will take over as interim head coach of «Obolon».
