A historic achievement for Ukrainian sports: the women's fencing team has become European champions for the first time!

In the final match of the team foil event at the continental championship held in Genoa, Ukrainian athletes decisively defeated the Swiss team with a score of 45:34.

The gold medalists are: Olena Kryvytska, Anna Maksymenko, Inna Brovko, and Vlada Kharkova.

In the semifinals, the team led by Bohdan Nikishin triumphed over the hosts, the Olympic champions of 2024, Italy, with a score of 45:27, who eventually took the bronze medal.
