Today, June 18, the Ukrainian women's 3x3 basketball team began their journey in the second stage of the Women's Series held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The first opponents for the Ukrainian players were the German team, who put up a strong fight. However, the Ukrainians managed to outshine them on the court.
The Germans took an early lead, establishing a 4-point advantage. Despite their solid defense and offense, the Ukrainian players steadily caught up to their rivals.
Angelika Liashko made a critical shot with a foul. By sinking free throws with just 20 seconds left, she gave Ukraine their first lead in the match (15:13).
In the remaining time, Germany attempted to catch up, but an airball and a steal by Miriam Uro-Nile secured the victory for the Ukrainian team.
