Ukrainian climber Yaroslav Tkach secured a gold medal at the European Cup in speed climbing held in Zakopane, Poland. He also set a new record for Europe and Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Tkach clocked an impressive time of 4.93 seconds in the final, defeating fellow Ukrainian Hryhorii Ilchyshyn, who finished at 4.97 seconds and earned a silver medal.
