This match was a crucial part of their preparations for the upcoming Euro 2025 tournament.

Spain began the match with strong offensive pressure but failed to convert their chances. Ukraine started gaining momentum towards the end of the first half, with Nazar Voloshin coming close to scoring, but his shot was saved by the goalkeeper.
