At the children’s hospital "Okhmatdyt," officials announced that after the recent missile strike, recovery efforts for the damaged buildings are in full swing. Although the restoration is at various stages, the hospital has returned to normal operations.

This information was provided by representatives of the NDSCL "Okhmatdyt."

They noted that urgent emergency works were carried out following the shelling, funded by the charity fund "Tabletki." Additionally, a thorough assessment of the hospital's buildings was conducted, and a comprehensive recovery plan was developed.

The stages of building restoration vary significantly.

In the diagnostic and treatment building, technical oversight has been initiated, involving the relevant services, and a contract has been signed for the development of project documentation. In May, "Okhmatdyt" plans to announce a tender for major repairs.

The recovery of this building will be financed by the charity fund "Okhmatdyt – Healthy Childhood."

For the destroyed surgical building, the hospital has conducted a technical survey, developed a medical assignment, and a program. Furthermore, a design task for restoration has been created.

The NDSCL "Okhmatdyt" indicated that a procurement was announced in March, and by the end of April, the selection committee approved the cost assessment report that was sent to the World Bank.

For the toxicology unit, which is a historical monument, funding for restoration will be provided by the UNITED24 platform. Conservation works are expected to commence in early May 2025.

The damaged administrative building, also a historical monument, will be restored with financing from UNITED24. Project documentation has been developed for it, and the procurement procedure for works is set to be announced in May.

For the transformer substation, a contract has been signed for the development of project-estimate documentation, which will still undergo state expertise. The next step will be the announcement of a tender for restoration.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health explained that "Okhmatdyt" has the highest complexity of construction, which is why the restoration of the children’s hospital is taking so long.

The hospital added that conducting major repairs requires the development of project documentation, which must pass state expertise, public tenders, and oversight of all stages.

"We are doing everything possible to rebuild the hospital as quickly as possible. Our priority is quality. Our unwavering goal is to save lives, treat, and support children," the hospital emphasized.
