On December 10, 2025, the State University of Information and Communication Technologies (DUICT) held a grand opening of its new training center dedicated to intelligent security systems.
Journalists from "Mежі" attended the event, where they explored the new educational space created through collaboration with IQ Trading, one of Ukraine's leading suppliers of high-tech equipment.
University rector Volodymyr Shulha emphasized that this new center will be a critical step in preparing students to work with state-of-the-art security technologies.
Guests were shown the laboratory equipped with cutting-edge technology. University representatives detailed the complete renovation of the premises, installation of new furniture and lighting, as well as the setup of computer equipment and surveillance systems. The total investment in the project reached nearly 1.5 million UAH.
The laboratory showcases equipment from leading global manufacturers, including Axis Communications, Suprema, Hanwha Vision, Milestone Systems, and others.
Vyacheslav Avramenko, Commercial Director of IQ Trading, spoke about the long-standing partnership with the university, noting that joint projects contribute to educational advancements and the training of skilled telecommunications specialists. "This center marks a significant step in our collaboration," he added.
Rector Volodymyr Shulha expressed gratitude to IQ Trading for their contribution to the training of a new generation of Ukrainian IT professionals, highlighting that the new training center will help cultivate top-tier specialists.
Avramenko also noted that IQ Trading has been operating in the Ukrainian market for over 20 years, specializing in the supply of modern equipment for security systems.
He believes that the Department of Mobile and Video Information Technologies is unique, as students receive knowledge from leading experts, enhancing their competitiveness in the job market.
Rector Shulha also stressed the importance of mobile and video information technologies during wartime, noting that business requests for specialists are increasing. "We recorded the second-highest number of applicants for our bachelor's program in the country," he added.
Plans for the future include the establishment of new educational spaces in collaboration with Dahua Technology and Huawei to launch a cybersecurity laboratory.
Students present at the opening expressed their appreciation for the creation of a modern educational environment and the importance of a practical approach in education.
