The National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" together with the NGO "eMuseum" has launched a new audio guide designed for hearing-impaired users. This announcement was made on the official page of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
The inclusive service was developed through the collaboration of the reserve and the NGO "eMuseum" and is now available on the platform emuseum.online.
The sign language translation was provided by accessibility culture researcher Uliana Shumilo. Thanks to this initiative, individuals with hearing impairments can fully engage with the main attractions of the Lavra — the Assumption Cathedral, the Trinity Gate Church, the Great Lavra Bell Tower, the Church of the Savior at Berestove, and other sacred sites.
The Ministry of Culture emphasized that the launch of the audio guide opens up cultural heritage to a broader audience and contributes to the formation of a truly accessible cultural environment. This initiative is part of the National Strategy for Creating a Barrier-Free Space, initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska.
