On November 15, the Kyiv City Art Gallery 'Lavra' will host the opening of an exhibition by the distinguished contemporary sculptor Anatoliy Kush. The artist will showcase over 200 works, some of which will be displayed for the first time, reports the KMDA press service.
Among the invited guests will be notable figures in the art world and diplomats from European countries supporting Ukraine in its fight for independence and sovereignty.
"In his works, the artist seeks to elevate humanity, restore the fullness of life, and 'through the mediation of humanity, connect the supernatural with nature, and through nature — the superhuman with humanity'," the statement reads. — "Anatoliy Kush's creativity is an extraordinary phenomenon not only in the context of Ukrainian art but also fits organically into the evolutionary line of global, particularly European, art".
Anatoliy Kush's works are represented on the international stage. The artist continues to promote contemporary Ukrainian art, culture, and history at the most prestigious global exhibitions and art fairs.
As part of the exhibition project, Ukrainian political scientist, YouTuber, and author of the book 'How Putin's Propaganda Works', Mykola Davydyuk, will hold a raffle for a miniature copy of the iconic sculpture by Anatoliy Kush 'Oranta Ukraine', which adorns the Monument of Independence in Kyiv's Independence Square. The 57 cm sculpture will be raffled to raise funds for drones and a minibus for the 210th separate assault regiment.
For the first time in Ukraine, the exhibition of Anatoliy Kush's works will take place with the official support of the UN's CSO Fund and UNESCO Center in Bologna and the Kyiv City State Administration.
Additionally, the sculptor's exhibition will be featured for the first time on ABC (USA) in the program 'This Week with Bob Muller', which will exclusively discuss the Ukrainian sculptor and the context of Ukrainian art amid the war.
