«Honoring Heroes: New Stamp for Infantry Day»

Today, May 27, a solemn ceremony was held to unveil a new postage stamp dedicated to Infantry Day.

This release honors the steadfast soldiers who have become a solid support for our army.

The stamp symbolizes gratitude to those who are always ready to defend our homeland, hold the line, and liberate occupied territories.

The stamp's author is the renowned Ukrainian artist and laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize, Andriy Yermolenko. He depicts a soldier trampling a two-headed eagle — a symbol of victory over imperial aggression.

Andriy Yermolenko, already known for his sketch for the stamp «They Stood Firm! Concrete Couldn’t Withstand!» (2020), emphasizes: «Infantry soldiers are the ones whose boots first touch enemy soil. They do not conquer, but defend».

The stamp is priced at 20 hryvnias (letter U) plus an 8 hryvnias charity contribution. The charity contribution (8 hryvnias from each stamp) will be directed towards reconstructing the faces of Ukrainian defenders who have suffered from mine-explosive injuries.

The print run is 150,000 copies.

Together we can support those who protect our future!
