According to the company’s investor presentation, total revenues reached $1.4 billion in 2024, compared to $343 million the previous year. Half of this revenue came from "partnerships and ecosystems," with another $292 million from premium subscriptions and $250 million from advertising.
In 2023, the company ended the year with a loss of $173 million.
Telegram aims to reach $2 billion in revenue by 2025, which would be a 46% increase from the previous year. The company also targets a profit of $720 million next year.
According to Financial Times sources, the company provided profit information ahead of a bond issuance worth about $1.5 billion aimed at refinancing existing debt.
Under the terms, investors will have the option to buy shares at a 20% discount if Telegram goes public.
The bond sale, which began on May 20, could conclude as early as next week.
Documents reveal that Telegram has issued bonds totaling approximately $2.4 billion over the past four years. From September to December 2024, the company repurchased bonds worth $375 million.
