The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has announced new changes to the visa-free entry rules for Ukrainian citizens.

Details: As of April 3rd, Ukrainians can now stay in Georgia without a visa for only one year, instead of the previous three.

"Ukrainian citizens have the right to enter Georgia without a visa and stay in the country for one full year," the document states.

Those Ukrainians who entered and stayed in Georgia before February 24, 2025, will have their stay extended until February 24, 2026.

Background: In February 2023, the Georgian government allowed Ukrainians to stay in the country without a visa for two years, which was later extended to three years in April 2024.
