The head of the Ukrainian delegation and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, along with his team, is already on their way to the United States for critical peace negotiations. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this via social media.

Zelensky stated that Rustem Umerov has already delivered a report and the primary task is to swiftly and effectively prepare a plan of action to end the conflict.

The President emphasized that Ukraine aims for constructive cooperation with the American side, hoping to refine the outcomes of the Geneva meetings during the negotiations in the USA.

Zelensky also mentioned that he expects a report from the delegation following their work, which is set to take place on Sunday.

“Ukraine is working towards a just peace,” he added.

The President has revised the composition of the delegation for talks with the United States and other international partners, including representatives from Russia, to pursue peace, with Umerov now at the helm.
