On Sunday, November 23, the United States, Ukraine, and EU countries will initiate crucial negotiations regarding Donald Trump's new peace plan. This was reported by CNN.
According to reports, U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and his team have arrived in Geneva (Switzerland) to discuss further steps toward peace with Ukrainian officials.
"U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff will join the negotiations tomorrow in Geneva. The aim is to finalize details ahead of the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and President Donald Trump," CNN states.
A meeting between Russian and American delegations is also scheduled to discuss the proposed peace plan, which, according to an anonymous official, will occur soon, but not in Geneva.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov stated that consultations between Ukrainian and U.S. officials will begin in the coming days to discuss possible parameters of a future peace agreement.
President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree to establish a Ukrainian delegation to participate in the negotiation process with the U.S. and other international partners, as well as representatives of the Russian Federation, to achieve a fair and sustainable peace. The delegation will be led by the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak.
President Donald Trump confirmed that his administration has set a deadline for Ukraine to agree to the White House's plan to end the Russian war.
Previously, American media reported that the Trump administration held secret consultations with the Kremlin to develop a new plan to end the war in Ukraine.
According to an Axios publication, this plan consists of 28 points and is divided into four main categories: peace in Ukraine, security guarantees, security in Europe, and future relations between the U.S. and Russia and Ukraine.
Following discussions with U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine, the U.S., and Europe will work together to make the path to peace truly viable.
