On November 11-12, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha will travel to Canada to participate in the G7 foreign ministers' meeting at the invitation of his Canadian counterpart Anita Anand. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
During his visit, the Foreign Minister is set to engage in thematic discussions focused on enhancing defense cooperation and increasing pressure on Russia, involving G7 and EU countries, as well as talks on maritime security and bolstering energy resilience with invited states such as India, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, South Korea, Australia, and Mexico.
Sybiha will also hold separate ministerial talks in a Ukraine-France-Germany-Italy format.
It is noted that during his stay in Canada, bilateral meetings are planned with foreign ministers from South Korea, Japan, Brazil, and India.
Key topics of discussion will include strengthening support for Ukraine in overcoming Russian aggression and restoring peace, increasing sanctions pressure and isolating the aggressor, full utilization of frozen Russian assets, and enhancing Ukraine's energy resilience amid Russian terror while attracting additional investments to develop the Ukrainian defense industry, as highlighted by the Ministry.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will join the G7 meeting at the level of foreign ministers in Canada this week, where he will discuss the U.S. president's initiative for peace in Ukraine.
The ministerial meeting in the G7 format will take place on November 11-12 in the Niagara region (Ontario), Canada.
