On October 22, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Oslo, Norway, where he was warmly welcomed. According to NRK, he is set to hold talks with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, who confirmed that Norway will continue to support Ukraine in its quest for peace.
"I sincerely welcome President Zelensky and the First Lady of Ukraine. Norway stands by Ukraine in its efforts for lasting peace," Støre said in his statement.
During their meeting, they will discuss critical issues, including the frontline situation in the war with Russia.
"I have spoken with Zelensky before. Europeans strongly support his plans, and this meeting will highlight our commitment to cooperation," the Prime Minister noted.
Also arriving in Oslo was Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, who expressed hope for productive outcomes.
On the same day, Zelensky will head to Sweden for further discussions with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson. European leaders are calling for an immediate ceasefire on existing positions to create conditions for peace talks.
