President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine, following discussions with representatives from the defense company Raytheon, which produces Patriot systems, emphasized that new opportunities exist to enhance life protection in Ukraine. This information was shared by Zelensky on his Facebook page.
"I discussed the battlefield situation and the increasing strikes by Russia against our civilians and infrastructure," he noted.
The parties talked about Raytheon's manufacturing capabilities and possible pathways for collaboration to strengthen air defense and extend Ukraine's long-range capabilities.
"There are solutions that can significantly enhance the protection of lives in Ukraine. We are working at all levels to ensure their implementation. Thanks to Raytheon for their continued support of Ukraine," Zelensky emphasized.
According to the president's office, he thanked the manufacturers for the Patriot systems, highlighting that they have saved many Ukrainian lives.
The president stated that Russia is failing to achieve any of its objectives, which is why it is intensifying strikes on civilian infrastructure and people, particularly targeting the energy system. During these attacks, the Russians utilize over 500 drones and dozens of missiles daily.
Company representatives expressed their condolences to Ukrainians who have lost loved ones due to Russian strikes and assured their readiness to support Ukraine.
