In January 2026, Ukraine Month will be held in the United Arab Emirates. This was announced by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, following a meeting with the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy.
The parties discussed cooperation in security, economic, and humanitarian sectors.
"We outlined a roadmap for future interactions, particularly regarding the Ukraine Month in the UAE, which will be a significant platform for showcasing our potential," Umerov noted.
He expressed gratitude to the UAE for its consistent humanitarian support to Ukraine since 2022, as well as for assistance in prisoner exchanges and the return of Ukrainian citizens.
The Secretary of the NSDC emphasized that Ukraine is open to partnerships with countries that share a vision of stability and security.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal and UAE Deputy Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Naser Al Alawi, discussed further collaboration to enhance the security of both nations.
