Visit to New York: Signing of the Humanitarian Personnel Protection Declaration

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha participated in a significant event concerning the protection of humanitarian personnel during his visit to New York.

He shared this information through his social media platform.

«At the UN headquarters, I took part in signing the Declaration aimed at protecting humanitarian personnel and honored the memory of those who lost their lives in this noble cause,» Sybiha stated.

He also noted that numerous delegations from various countries are arriving in New York.

«This year’s UN General Assembly is taking place at a challenging time for Ukraine, Europe, and the entire world,» he added.

The 80th session of the General Assembly is set to begin, but serious discussions are expected at the UN headquarters this week to address urgent international issues that require immediate decisions for maintaining peace and security.

According to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Andriy Sybiha will also engage in a series of important activities, including discussions on energy security and green recovery in Ukraine, as well as meetings with colleagues from around the world, from Europe to Asia.
