The defense ministers of Ukraine and the United Kingdom, Denys Shmyhal and John Healey, convened in London to discuss the agreement concerning the production of interceptor drones with British support.

Shmyhal shared this update via his Telegram channel.

"During our meeting with John Healey in London, we delved into the practical implementation of the agreement. This is a significant step forward in realizing the Agreement on a Century-Long Partnership between Ukraine and the UK," he emphasized.

Shmyhal explained that the agreement was signed as a continuation of discussions between the President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of the UK regarding the enhancement of industrial cooperation.

"Initially, we plan to produce the first batch of one thousand drones, all of which will be sent to Ukraine," added the minister.

He noted that interceptor drones have already proven effective against Russian terror tactics.

"We will continue to scale these projects, attract investments, and improve technologies to effectively protect Ukrainian cities and civilians from Russian aerial attacks," Shmyhal stressed.

The minister also mentioned that both Ukrainian and British representatives reviewed the outcomes of the recent meeting in the 'Ramstein' format and coordinated topics for the upcoming gathering scheduled for October.

The UK will manufacture and jointly develop cutting-edge military equipment in line with the new technology exchange agreement. Specifically, over the next 12 months, London plans to produce and deliver thousands of kamikaze drones to Ukraine.
