On Ukraine's Independence Day, August 24, a virtual meeting of the G7 foreign ministers will take place.

This was announced by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Specifically, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani reaffirmed his unwavering support for Kyiv in achieving a just and lasting peace while respecting Ukraine's sovereignty and closely coordinating with the United States and European partners.

The Ministry added that Tajani will participate in the virtual meeting of G7 foreign ministers convened by the Canadian presidency today at 14:00 (15:00 Kyiv time). The event will also serve as an opportunity to summarize the meeting of European leaders in Washington on August 18 and discuss prospects for peace in Ukraine.

Additionally, on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day, Minister Tajani instructed to illuminate the facade of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
