Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky indicated his intention to discuss territorial integrity with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

This was announced during a briefing in Washington.

Zelensky mentioned that he had a debate regarding the percentage of occupied territories displayed on a map during a meeting at the White House. He emphasized that his conversation with Donald Trump was constructive and friendly. The president elaborated on the history of the occupation of various parts of Ukraine, particularly Crimea and parts of the east, which were seized in 2014. Zelensky did not provide a clear answer on whether the U.S. would insist on territorial compromises and whether Ukraine has a formula for recognizing certain territories as belonging to Russia.

"I will keep the issue of territories between myself and Putin," – the president stated, avoiding further details.
