Romanian President Nicuşor Dan intends to visit Kyiv this autumn at the invitation of President Volodymyr Zelensky.

He announced this via social media platform X.

After his conversation with Zelensky, the Romanian leader emphasized the need for lasting peace in Ukraine and the urgency to halt daily acts of aggression by Russia.

According to Dan, Romania supports the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump aimed at achieving a ceasefire agreement.

«The peace agreement must be fair, long-lasting, and sustainable. Peace should be achieved with Ukraine at the negotiation table. Romania stands by the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine,» stated the Romanian president.

He added that as a neighbor and partner, Romania will continue to support Ukraine in all efforts to attain a just peace for its people, as Ukraine's security is closely linked to the security of the Black Sea and Europe.

«I have accepted President Zelensky's invitation to visit Kyiv this autumn,» Dan informed.
