Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that on Thursday, he will engage in numerous significant calls and contacts aimed at achieving peace and safeguarding Ukraine's independence under any circumstances.

He shared this information via his Telegram channel.

Direct quote from the president: "I have several calls scheduled, including one with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. We will also be in touch with colleagues from France and Italy. Additionally, I have instructed that discussions take place today among national security advisors in a special format."

Zelensky emphasized that on August 6, following a discussion with U.S. President Joe Biden and European leaders, he also spoke separately with the NATO Secretary General and the President of Finland.

"It is crucial to discuss key details. Our priorities are clear. First – to halt the violence, and Russia must initiate a ceasefire. Second – to establish a format for leaders that can effectively lead to lasting peace... Third – long-term security. This is only possible with the support of the United States and Europe," the president noted.

According to him, finding real solutions to end the war can be most effective at the leaders' level, so it is essential to determine the timing and the agenda for such a format.
