Representatives of the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) met with the leadership of the National Energy Company of Ukraine, Ukrenergo, to discuss enhancing the protection of energy facilities based on Ukrainian experience.
This was reported by Ukrenergo on Facebook.
"As part of this collaboration, the Danish side intends to delve deeper into the Ukrainian response algorithm to attacks on the energy system, including preventive measures. They will also study Ukrenergo’s experience in restoring energy supply after complete/partial emergency shutdowns and prioritizing power supply to critical infrastructure facilities," the statement said.
In particular, Denmark plans to examine the experience of dispatch management during ongoing threats to both equipment and personnel, in order to preemptively implement some response measures.
DEA representatives also showed interest in the cybersecurity of energy facilities and the development of digital solutions for informing consumers about enforced outage schedules. The Danish side noted its readiness to share modern technologies in dispatching and IT that are already utilized in their energy system with Ukrenergo.
As reported, starting from July 1, Denmark expanded its military service to include women. The country also plans to gradually increase the duration of conscription from four months to eleven months by 2026 and raise the number of conscripts from approximately 5000 currently to 7500 by 2033.
