The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced new sanctions approved by the National Security and Defense Council against Russian legal entities and citizens.

The decision refers to the NSDC's resolution dated June 10, 2025, regarding new restrictive measures.
The Council has backed the proposals from the Security Service of Ukraine to impose new economic sanctions.
The Cabinet of Ministers and the Security Service of Ukraine are tasked with monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of these sanctions.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is mandated to inform international bodies about the sanctions and urge them to take similar actions.
The sanctions list includes nine educational institutions and public organizations, such as Melitopol State University and the International Children's Center “Artek.”
Among the individuals sanctioned is Russian blogger Roman Alyokhin, known for his support of the Russian army.
Some of those sanctioned are known to be involved in policies related to the deportation of Ukrainian children from occupied territories.
