On May 14, Andriy Sybiga, Ukraine's Foreign Minister, will visit Turkey where an informal NATO ministers' meeting is taking place.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported that Sybiga is heading to Antalya at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan.
During his visit, Sybiga aims to hold discussions with Ukraine's partners to coordinate efforts aimed at achieving a sustainable peace. He will emphasize the need to increase pressure on Russia if it continues to reject a long-term ceasefire and broader peace efforts.
It should be noted that from May 14 to 16, Antalya will host an informal gathering of NATO foreign ministers, which will also include U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Later, it was revealed that Rubio may travel to Istanbul for potential negotiations alongside U.S. presidential envoys.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a planned meeting with the Turkish President in Ankara on May 15, but if the Kremlin leader agrees to come to Istanbul, both he and Erdogan may meet there.
