The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has revised the funding procedure intended for compensating expenses related to humanitarian mine clearance of agricultural lands.

Representative of the government, Taras Melnychuk, announced that the relevant decision was made during the meeting on April 29.

In particular, the central authority responsible for forming and approving the list of territories affected by hostilities or temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation has changed. The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine will now handle this instead of the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories.

Member of Parliament Oleksiy Honcharenko clarified that only those farmers who actually grow agricultural products on their own or rented land will be entitled to compensation.

If the agricultural lands are partially contaminated, compensation is still possible, but an official report from a certified operator is required.

Moreover, the timeline for opening escrow accounts has changed: it is now 10 working days instead of 5. If the timeline is violated, the application will be rejected.
