Four Ukrainian citizens crossed the border into Romania through the Maramureș Mountains and required urgent help from rescuers. According to Dan Benga, the director of the mountain rescue service, the operation lasted throughout the night. Three Ukrainians, aged 21, 26, and 40, were located around midnight. One suffered from a fever likely due to exhaustion, while another had an infected wound on his arm. Both received first aid. All three were extracted from the mountain, and one was sent for further medical evaluation.
Simultaneously, rescuers received another call for help. It was reported that a 34-year-old Ukrainian had sustained an injury in the mountains and required assistance. After five hours of searching, he was found without any serious health issues, and he was also evacuated. These rescue operations involved the border police from nearby settlements along the Ukrainian border.
