In the Volyn region, a child was electrocuted after climbing onto a rail tank car.
This incident was reported by the State Emergency Service of the Volyn region.
The event occurred in Kovel on April 20. The child climbed onto a tank car that was situated on the railway tracks, resulting in an electric shock.
By the time the emergency services arrived, the railway workers had already de-energized the lines. Rescuers ascended the tank car, transferred the injured child onto a stretcher, and brought them down to the ground.
The child was handed over to medical personnel and was conscious.
"We urge parents and children: stay away from railway objects, do not climb onto cars or other infrastructure elements. Remember, even without touching high-voltage wires, there is a risk of electric shock. Protect your lives!" emphasized the emergency services.
It’s worth noting that on March 12 in Kyiv, a 12-year-old boy climbed onto an electric train car and suffered severe burns from electric shock. Doctors fought for his life for 5 days, but sadly, the teenager passed away.
On March 9 in Odesa, two teenagers aged 13 and 16 climbed onto a freight car: one died on the spot, while the other passed away in the hospital.
