The Scottish Edinburgh Airport faced a technical halt lasting about an hour.

As reported by the BBC, this situation is covered by "European Truth".

The issue at Scotland's largest airport occurred around 9 AM local time. An official announcement on X at 9:29 stated that there was a failure in the digital air traffic control system, resulting in the suspension of all flights indefinitely.

Problems likely began much earlier than officially reported — a passenger on the 9:05 flight mentioned that they boarded at 8:30, and soon the pilot announced a delay due to technical issues at the airport.

Another passenger flying from Birmingham to Edinburgh also confirmed their flight was delayed.

After about an hour, airport management declared the resumption of normal operations and thanked passengers for their understanding.

Due to the system malfunction, around 27 departing flights and 11 arriving flights were affected. For instance, a Delta Airlines flight from New York was redirected to Dublin, Ireland.

Many flights on the display board were indicated as delayed.

Meanwhile, in Lithuania, an airline canceled its evening flight to Vilnius due to recurring weather conditions from Belarus, leading to airspace closures.

The last time Vilnius Airport closed due to weather conditions was on the evening of December 3rd.
