The State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" has announced the start of Christmas tree sales, with around 10,000 trees already sold. According to the press service, this year aims to sell about 140,000 coniferous trees. If demand is high, additional trees may be harvested.
The enterprise manages 2,700 hectares of "Christmas tree" plantations, where 7.8 million festive trees are grown.
“Prices for holiday coniferous trees are affordable, ranging from 210 to 250 UAH. Spruce/Fir costs between 240-280 UAH,” the statement says.
Prices are slightly higher in resource-poor regions of the East and South, near major cities like Dnipro, Odesa, and Mykolaiv. The cheapest trees are offered in the forested areas of the North and Polissya (Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv).
Additionally, some branches of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" offer Christmas trees in containers, starting at 500 UAH depending on size.
Trees can be purchased directly from the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" without markup. Their branches organize retail sales at forest management sites, fairs, and local markets.
It is emphasized that the Christmas trees sold are marked with tags containing barcodes or self-adhesive labels, confirming their legality and safety.
