As of the morning of December 3rd, consumers in four regions of Ukraine are facing electricity shortages due to Russian attacks. This information has been shared by the National Energy Company of Ukraine (NEC) "Ukrenergo" on social media.
"During the night, the enemy targeted energy facilities across several regions. As a result, additional consumers have been left without power in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson regions. Emergency restoration work is ongoing in all these areas. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore the damaged equipment as quickly as possible," the statement reads.
As of 9:30 AM on Wednesday, electricity consumption is reported to be 1.6% lower than the previous day, primarily due to the increased necessity for power outages.
"Considering the effects of shelling and the current weather conditions (dropping temperatures and high cloud cover which increase energy demand and reduce the efficiency of solar power plants) - there is still a need for energy conservation today. Please limit the use of high-power appliances. If possible, shift energy-intensive activities to the night hours after 10 PM," advises Ukrenergo.
We remind you that on December 3rd, electricity consumption will be limited across all regions of Ukraine, with schedules in effect from 00:00 to 23:59.
