The Polish-Ukrainian border is currently experiencing a true winter season. In addition to snowfall, thick fog is complicating conditions. Tourists are urged to remain on official paths. This was reported by the 7th Border Guard Unit of the Carpathians.
They shared images of the border area in the Lviv region, which is under the responsibility of the "Smilytsia" and "Sіanky" detachments.
"The temperature has significantly dropped, and dense fogs occasionally cover the area.
Therefore, we urge tourists to be extremely cautious, not to stray from officially marked routes, and to respect the rules of border zone presence," the statement reads.
According to mountain rescuers in Prykarpattya, it is also cloudy and snowy on Mount Pip Ivan. The air temperature reaches -2°C.
It is worth noting that the first snow on Mount Pip Ivan fell on Independence Day – August 24. By the end of October, the snowdrifts reached 80 centimeters in some places.
