Today, October 24, from 07:00 to 23:00, twelve regions of Ukraine are implementing electricity outage schedules. This is due to new attacks from Russia, which have caused power outages in several areas. This was reported by NEC "Ukrenergo" on their Facebook page.
"As a result of previous shelling, particularly a massive missile and drone attack on the energy infrastructure on October 22, today from 07:00 to 23:00, twelve regions are applying outage schedules ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 shifts at the same time. Additionally, during this period, power restrictions for industry and businesses are in place across the entire territory of Ukraine," the message states.
It is noted that due to new Russian strikes, there are power outages in several regions, including Sumy, Zaporizhia, and Dnipropetrovsk. The situation remains difficult in Chernihiv region as well. Emergency recovery work is ongoing in all regions where networks have been damaged.
As of 6:00 AM on Friday, electricity consumption in Ukraine corresponds to the level of the previous day. Meanwhile, the daily consumption peak on October 23 was 2.6% higher than the peak on October 22. This is due to a decrease in the amount of implemented power outages.
"It remains essential to conserve energy. If you currently have electricity, please limit the use of high-power appliances until 23:00," emphasizes Ukrenergo.
