The international train No. 99/100 connecting Kyiv and Bucharest has generated considerable interest among Ukrainians. In just two weeks, 2100 tickets have been sold, as reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.
During its first week of operation, nearly 800 passengers were transported. The most common route was from Vinnytsia to Bucharest, according to the announcement.
This train provides easy access to two international airports in Romania – in Iași and Bucharest. In Iași, travelers can conveniently catch night flights, while Bucharest serves morning flights. Public transport offers comfortable transfers.
The central station in Bucharest, Gara de Nord, also allows transfers to trains heading to Burgas, Sofia, and Istanbul.
Customs clearance time between Ukraine and Moldova is one hour, while between Moldova and Romania it is one and a half hours.
