Details: At the end of last year, the Norwegian parliament agreed to allocate a total of 35 billion Norwegian krone ($3.12 billion) for military and civilian support for Ukraine in 2025.

"I can confirm today that we will return to parliament soon with a proposal to increase support", – said Støre in the interview.

The Prime Minister of Norway is traveling to London, where he plans to meet with Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as other European leaders at a summit convened by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Støre noted that discussions in London will also focus on relations with the new administration in the United States.

They will discuss how to engage with the new U.S. administration.

"Yesterday, I heard that he (Volodymyr Zelensky) continues to emphasize the importance of relations with the United States and wants to find a way forward", – said the Norwegian Prime Minister.

He called it "absolutely essential" for the United States to collaborate with Europe to contribute to achieving lasting peace in Ukraine.

In response to a question about how to trust the U.S. after the recent scandal in the White House, Støre said that hasty conclusions should not be drawn.

"We had five or six weeks with Trump as president. I think we still need to work on understanding the implications of their style, games, and words", – shared the Norwegian Prime Minister.

According to media reports, President Zelensky has already landed in Britain, where he arrived for a summit with European leaders taking place on Sunday.
