In 2025, families welcoming a new child will once again have the opportunity to receive financial compensation for the natural assistance program known as the «baby bundle».

This compensation is a one-time payment for each live-born child to help purchase essential baby items such as hygiene products, clothing, food, toys, and other necessary supplies.

The payment is available to the parents of newborns, and in their absence, to foster parents or guardians. It is disbursed in a cashless manner to a special account at a bank participating in the «baby bundle» program. A list of these banks can be found on the official website of the State Service for Children.

The amount of compensation is equal to three living minimums for children under six years old, established at the time of the child's birth. Starting January 1, 2025, this amount will be 7689 UAH.

Recipients can apply for the compensation:

• in person by submitting a request to the social services;
• by mail;
• electronically through the comprehensive public service «eBaby».

The compensation will be awarded if the application is submitted no later than 12 months from the date of the child's birth.

Within a year of receiving the funds, the recipient can use the compensation to purchase baby items from stores that participate in the «baby bundle» monetization program. A list of these stores is available on the Ministry of Social Policy's website.

In addition to financial compensation, parents and newborns can also receive the natural «baby bundle», which contains over 50 essential items. In 2025, new items such as reusable waterproof diapers and warm clothing have been added. The bundle also includes the book «From Birth to One Year», developed by UNICEF, which offers practical advice for all newborn parents.
