On October 7, a memorial plaque honoring Andriy Parubiy was unveiled in Lviv, organized by his father and daughter. This was reported by MP Oleg Synyutka on social media.
«Today, we pay tribute to Andriy Parubiy, a Hero of Ukraine who left a mark in our country's history as the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada and an active participant in the Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity,» Synyutka emphasized.
He also mentioned that October 8 marks 40 days since Andriy’s tragic passing. A joint prayer will take place at 11:00 AM at the Archcathedral of St. George, followed by a memorial evening at 4:30 PM in the large session hall of the Lviv Regional Council.
It is worth noting that President Volodymyr Zelensky posthumously awarded Andriy Parubiy, Hennadiy Afanasiev, Stepan Chubenko, and Volodymyr Vakulenko the title of Hero of Ukraine for their contributions to the defense of the idea of Ukraine.
